All BS&B manufacturing locations operate to certified ISO 9001 quality standards. These facilities, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA; Limerick, Ireland; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Chennai, India; Edmonton, Canada; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Houston, Texas; Beijing, China; and Monterrey, Mexico, when combined with additional sales and marketing hubs in the UK, Germany, Singapore and Tokyo provide quality customer service on a local scale.

The Company´s EMEA headquarters is based in Limerick. The number of employees controlled from the Limerick base is over 100, including technical, manufacturing, finance, IT and sales.

EMEA is responsible for sales throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. Much of the sales are managed through distributors, however in the UK, Ireland and Germany the company employs its own sales force selling direct to the end user.

Functie omschrijving

Responsibilities:

  • Management and development of the direct sales force to achieve sales against plan for each region e.g. daily / weekly monitoring and control of area rotation, call plans, visit reports. 
  • Identification and execution of business development opportunities and activity within own sales area 
  • The planning, management and direction of all activities and support services including the provision of adequate training and product awareness to the sales team and customers as required. 
  • Interact with customers to close sales, answers questions and build confidence in the products and the Company, through ongoing joint field sales visits and regular motivational sales meetings and reviews. 
  • Preparation of sales plans and budget (with Financial Controller) 
  • Weekly and monthly distribution of sales figures and ratios (plan, quotes, orders, etc) 
  • Achieve and reduce targeted discount levels in each territory. 
  • Competition monitoring and activity reporting within territories 
  • Conduct performance reviews with direct reports 
  • Recruitment of sales staff in conjunction with central HR department 
  • Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to sales program while following worldwide policies.

Functie eisen

Qualifications:

The suitable candidate will have a strong background in Technical/Chemical or Mechanical Engineering sales within a related industry. He/She will have a formal qualification in Engineering (Process or Chemical) or Science discipline and will have technical sales experience within EMEA.
This person will oversee the direct sales team in Ireland, UK and Germany and develop direct sales channels in other territories.

Essential Requirements:

  • A third level Degree in Chemical/Mechanical engineering or related discipline
  • 8+ years technical sales experience preferably within the rupture disk or pressure relief devices industry 
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets through direct sales channels
  • Solid management experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to sell in competitive situations
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to close sales 
  • Ability to target, measure and monitor sales targets and performance whilst considering cost and effort
  • High energy level and initiative
  • Ability to travel extensively within Europe while managing diverse activity on the road
  • Good spoken and written English 
  • Knowledge or understanding of an engineered product would be an advantage
